rebreaking
Cracking once more
Rebreaking is breaking something again, especially a bone that has healed improperly and must be fractured anew to set correctly: The doctor said rebreaking the arm was the only way to fix the alignment.
The term applies to anything broken a second time: rebreaking ground on a stalled construction project.
