ragdolling

Body going slack

Ragdolling describes a body going limp and flopping about like a ragdoll—a cloth toy with no rigid structure.

In video games, ragdoll physics simulate how characters collapse when killed or knocked out, limbs tumbling loosely rather than playing a canned animation.

Outside gaming, ragdolling describes being thrown around helplessly: The crash sent him ragdolling across the pavement.

The term captures both the limpness and the chaotic, uncontrolled motion.
