radioactive cloud
Airborne contamination mass
A radioactive cloud is an airborne mass of particles contaminated with radioactive material, typically produced by nuclear explosions, reactor accidents, or dirty bombs.
Such clouds drift with wind patterns, depositing fallout over wide areas: The radioactive cloud from Chernobyl spread across much of Europe.
Also called a fallout cloud.
