queue-jumper
Impatient waiting-line intruder
A queue-jumper is someone who cuts ahead of others waiting in line.
The term is primarily British, matching the British preference for *queue* over American *line*.
Queue-jumping violates the unwritten social contract of first-come, first-served, and queue-jumpers are regarded with particular disdain in cultures that value orderly waiting: The queue-jumper pretended not to notice the glares.
