pull-through

Make it through

A pull-through is a cleaning tool—typically a cord or chain with a patch or brush attached—drawn through a gun barrel or other tube to remove debris.

The term also describes a type of campsite where vehicles can drive straight through without backing up: We got lucky and found a pull-through site for the RV.

In healthcare, a pull-through is a surgical procedure where part of the intestine is drawn through and reattached after removing a diseased section.
