progs

Hunts for sustenance

Progs is the plural of prog, an informal shortening of program used especially in computing and broadcasting contexts.

In tech circles, progs refers to software applications or scripts: I've got a few progs running in the background.

The term also appears in music discussions as shorthand for progressive rock bands or albums: Those old progs from the seventies still hold up.

Less commonly, prog as a verb means to search for food or provisions, making progs instances of such foraging.
