prize ribbons
Fair victory markers
Prize ribbons are fabric strips awarded to recognize achievement in competitions, typically at fairs, livestock shows, and school events.
They come in standard colors denoting rank—blue for first place, red for second, white for third in American conventions.
The ribbons usually display the award category and event name: Her horse collected prize ribbons at every county fair.
