Minnesota State Fair
Great Northern exposition
The Minnesota State Fair is an annual agricultural and entertainment exposition held in late August through Labor Day in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area.
One of the largest state fairs in the United States, it's known for its livestock competitions, butter sculptures, and extensive food offerings—particularly items served on sticks: We tried deep-fried cheese curds and corn dogs at the Minnesota State Fair.
Minnesotans often call it simply the Fair or the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
