Powerbombs is a professional wrestling move where the attacker lifts an opponent onto their shoulders, then slams them back-first onto the mat.
The move has many variations—sitout powerbomb, crucifix powerbomb—each named for the attacker's finishing position or grip.
Outside wrestling, powerbomb describes any forceful, dominant takedown: He absolutely powerbombed that guy into the pavement.
