armbars
Elbow hyperextension submissions
Armbars are grappling techniques that hyperextend an opponent's elbow joint, forcing submission through pain or threat of injury.
The attacker isolates the arm and applies pressure against the natural bend of the joint, typically by levering against the hips or body.
Common in judo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and mixed martial arts: She caught him in an armbar and he tapped out immediately.
