post route
Delivery driver's circuit
A post route is a passing pattern in American football where the receiver runs straight downfield, then cuts diagonally toward the goalpost.
The name comes from the target direction—the posts at the center of the end zone.
It's a deep route designed to exploit the middle of the field: He ran a perfect post route for the touchdown.
