polling booths
Private ballot enclosures
Polling booths are the small enclosed spaces where voters mark their ballots in private during an election.
The booth typically has a shelf or ledge for writing and curtains or partitions to shield the voter's choices from view: There was a line of people waiting for polling booths to open up.
By extension, polling booth can refer to the voting location itself.
