roll call vote
Individual response tally
A roll call vote is a voting procedure in which each member's name is called individually and their vote recorded, producing a public record of how everyone voted.
Legislatures use roll call votes for significant decisions, distinguishing them from voice votes or unanimous consent where individual positions go unrecorded: The bill passed on a roll call vote of 52-48.
