pogos

Bounces on sticks

Pogos is the plural of pogo, referring to pogo sticks—spring-loaded poles with footrests that let you bounce along the ground.

The verb pogo also describes a style of punk rock dancing where people jump up and down in place: The crowd was pogoing to the Ramones.

In Canadian slang, pogos are corn dogs—battered, deep-fried hot dogs on sticks.
