Plandemic is a conspiracy-theory term blending "planned" and "pandemic," asserting that a disease outbreak—especially COVID-19—was deliberately engineered or orchestrated rather than naturally occurring.
The word gained currency after a 2020 documentary of the same name promoted unfounded claims about the coronavirus: They think the whole thing was a plandemic orchestrated by elites.
