pipelined

Queued for processing

Pipelined describes a process or system organized into sequential stages where multiple operations overlap—as one task moves to stage two, another enters stage one.

The term comes from computing and engineering, where pipelining increases throughput by keeping all stages busy simultaneously: The processor uses a pipelined architecture.

More broadly, anything queued for staged processing has been pipelined: We've pipelined several candidates for the position.
