pipe-weed
Herb for smoking
Pipe-weed is a term from Tolkien's Middle-earth for a plant smoked in pipes by hobbits and others, essentially tobacco by another name.
The word has spread beyond Tolkien fandom as a whimsical or ironic term for tobacco or marijuana: He packed his pipe-weed and sat on the porch.
