pinsetter
Bowling lane resetter
A pinsetter is a machine in a bowling alley that clears fallen pins and resets them in formation after each ball.
Before automation in the mid-20th century, pinsetters were people—usually teenage boys—who performed this task by hand, working above the lanes and dodging balls for tips.
