pinatas
Candy-filled party decorations
Piñatas are hollow figures made of papier-mâché or cardboard, filled with candy and small toys, then hung up to be broken open with a stick.
Traditional at children's birthday parties and Mexican celebrations, they're often shaped like animals or cartoon characters.
Blindfolded participants take turns swinging until the piñata bursts and spills its contents: The kids lined up to take a crack at the piñata.
