phalangeal
Of the digits
Phalangeal means relating to the phalanges—the bones of the fingers and toes.
Each finger has three phalanges (the thumb has two), and the term appears in medical and anatomical contexts: phalangeal fracture, phalangeal joints.
The word shares its root with phalanx, the ancient military formation, both deriving from a Greek word for finger or line of battle.
