phalange
Toe bone segment
A phalange is a bone of the finger or toe.
Humans have fourteen phalanges in each hand and foot—three in each finger and toe, except two in each thumb and big toe.
The word is the singular of phalanges, though phalanx (plural phalanxes or phalanges) is more common in anatomical contexts.
The X-ray showed a fractured phalange in her ring finger.
