pet fence

Yard containment system

A pet fence is a barrier designed to contain pets within a designated area, typically a yard.

The term covers both physical fencing—often lower or with smaller gaps than standard fencing—and invisible or electric fence systems that use buried wire and a collar to deliver a warning or mild shock when the animal approaches the boundary: We installed a pet fence so the dogs could run free.
