gold trophy
Winner's gilded cup
A gold trophy is a trophy made of or colored gold, awarded for first-place finishes in competitions.
The term distinguishes it from silver (second place) and bronze (third place) trophies in systems that award all three: She's won three gold trophies this season.
Most "gold" trophies are gold-plated or gold-colored rather than solid gold.
