pedophilia
Pedophilia is sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
The term is clinical, used in psychiatry to describe a paraphilia—a pattern of persistent, intense sexual interest considered abnormal.
In common usage, pedophilia often loosely describes any sexual abuse of minors, though clinicians distinguish it from abuse of adolescents.
A pedophile is someone with this attraction; the adjective is pedophilic.
Also spelled paedophilia in British English.
