pastille
Small medicated sweet
A pastille is a small flavored lozenge or candy, typically meant to dissolve slowly in the mouth.
Pastilles may be medicinal (throat pastilles to soothe soreness) or purely confectionary.
The word also refers to small cones or pellets of aromatic paste burned as incense or air freshener: She lit a pastille to mask the smell of smoke.
