Disabled competitive sports
Para-athletics is track and field competition for athletes with physical, visual, or intellectual impairments.
The sport encompasses the same events as conventional athletics—sprints, distance races, jumps, throws—but with classifications that group competitors by functional ability.
Para-athletics is a core sport of the Paralympic Games: She won gold in para-athletics at the Paris Paralympics.
