pH paper
Chemistry lab strips
pH paper is paper treated with chemical indicators that change color when exposed to acids or bases, used to measure a solution's acidity or alkalinity.
You dip the strip into a liquid and compare the resulting color to a reference chart: The pH paper turned bright red, indicating strong acid.
Also called litmus paper, though litmus is technically one specific indicator among many.
