pH strips
Chemical indicator papers
pH strips are small pieces of paper or plastic coated with chemical indicators that change color when exposed to acidic or alkaline substances.
You dip the strip in a liquid, then compare the resulting color to a reference chart to determine the pH level.
Common uses include testing pool water, aquarium water, urine, and soil: The pH strips showed the pool was too acidic.
