Backward airborne strike
An overhead kick is a soccer move where a player throws their body backward while airborne to kick the ball behind them, typically aiming at goal.
The legs scissor upward while the player's back faces the ground.
When executed well, it's among the most spectacular plays in the sport: He scored with a stunning overhead kick from the edge of the box.
Also called a bicycle kick.
