overchecking
Too much monitoring
Overchecking is examining or verifying something too many times, to the point of inefficiency or anxiety.
The term appears in contexts ranging from obsessive-compulsive behavior to quality control processes: She kept overchecking the door locks before bed.
In equestrian use, overchecking refers to pulling a horse's head too high with a check rein, restricting natural movement.
