tissue donation
Gifting body parts
Tissue donation is the giving of body tissues—such as corneas, skin, bone, heart valves, or tendons—for transplantation into others or for medical research.
Unlike organ donation, which requires a living or brain-dead donor, most tissue donation occurs after death: She registered as a tissue donor on her driver's license.
A single donor can help dozens of recipients.
