opinion section
Where columnists hold forth
The opinion section is the part of a newspaper or news website where editorials, columns, and reader letters appear—content expressing viewpoints rather than reporting facts.
Distinguished from news coverage by its explicitly subjective nature: The paper's opinion section endorsed the challenger.
Also called the op-ed section, though technically op-ed refers to pieces opposite the editorial page.
