fallibility
Capacity for mistakes
Fallibility is the capacity to make mistakes or be wrong.
It applies especially to human judgment, reasoning, and memory: The fallibility of eyewitness testimony is well documented.
To acknowledge one's own fallibility is to admit you might be mistaken—a stance valued in science and philosophy but often difficult in practice.
