Employee departure procedure
Offboarding is the process of transitioning an employee out of an organization—the opposite of onboarding.
It includes exit interviews, returning equipment, revoking access credentials, and transferring knowledge: HR handles all offboarding for departing staff.
The term extends to ending any formal relationship: customer offboarding, vendor offboarding.
