nosewheel
Steerable aircraft wheel
A nosewheel is the small wheel at the front of an aircraft, part of the tricycle landing gear configuration used by most modern planes.
It supports the nose during taxiing, takeoff, and landing, and typically swivels to allow steering on the ground: The pilot turned the nosewheel to guide the plane toward the terminal.
