nodder

Bobblehead human version

A nodder is someone or something that nods.

The word appears most often for a person who nods in agreement, especially one who agrees reflexively or without critical thought—a yes-man: The board was full of nodders who rubber-stamped every proposal.

In fishing, a nodder is a type of bite indicator that bobs when a fish takes the bait.
