neuroparalysis

Paralysis from nerve damage

Neuroparalysis is paralysis caused by damage to or disease of the nerves.

The term appears in medical contexts where nerve injury—rather than muscle or brain damage—is the source of lost motor function: The venom induced neuroparalysis within minutes.
