neighborhood association
Local residents' organization
A neighborhood association is a voluntary organization of residents who live in a particular area, formed to address local concerns and promote community interests.
Members may organize social events, advocate for improvements, or establish guidelines for property upkeep.
Unlike homeowners associations, membership is typically optional and the group lacks legal enforcement power: The neighborhood association organized a cleanup day for the park.
