Nasalness is the quality of sounding nasal—produced with air passing through the nose rather than just the mouth.
The term describes voices, speech patterns, or tones that have a pinched, resonant quality: the nasalness of his Midwestern accent, a cold gave her voice an unpleasant nasalness.
Nasality is the more common form.
