musophobia

Fear of mice

Musophobia is an intense, irrational fear of mice or rats.

Like other specific phobias, it can trigger anxiety, panic, or avoidance behaviors even when the rodents pose no real threat.

The term combines the Latin *mus* (mouse) with the Greek *phobos* (fear).

Her musophobia made visiting the old farmhouse unbearable.
