musical compositions
Scores and symphonies
Musical compositions are pieces of music that have been created and typically written down or recorded.
The term emphasizes the work as a deliberate artistic creation rather than improvisation: Bach's compositions for organ, She studied the composer's early compositions.
A composition can range from a simple melody to a symphony, but the word suggests craft and intention.
