mural art
Large wall paintings
Mural art is painting or other artwork applied directly to walls, ceilings, or other large permanent surfaces.
Unlike framed paintings, murals become part of the architecture itself.
The term encompasses everything from ancient cave paintings and Renaissance frescoes to contemporary street art: The city commissioned mural art to revitalize the neighborhood.
