Crossing pure bloodlines
Mongrelization is the mixing of distinct racial, ethnic, or breed lines—used almost exclusively by those who disapprove of such mixing.
The term carries the negative connotations of mongrel (a dog of mixed or unknown breeding) and implies that purity is desirable and mixing produces something inferior.
It appears in white supremacist rhetoric and historical segregationist arguments: They warned that integration would lead to the mongrelization of the white race.
The word is offensive.
