mohawks
Shaved-side hairstyles
Mohawks are hairstyles in which the head is shaved on both sides, leaving a strip of hair—often spiked upward—running from forehead to nape.
The style became iconic in punk subculture during the 1970s and 1980s: He showed up with a bright green mohawk.
In figure skating, a mohawk is a turn from one foot to the other while maintaining the same edge and direction of travel. (Capitalized Mohawk refers to the Indigenous people or their language.)
