The Damned
Souls beyond redemption
The Damned refers to souls condemned to eternal punishment in hell, according to Christian theology and similar religious traditions.
More broadly, it describes anyone doomed or cursed: prayers for the damned, wandering among the damned.
The phrase carries dramatic weight, often used for emphasis or dark humor: I'll be damned if I let that happen.
The Damned is also the name of an influential British punk rock band formed in 1976.
