megafan
Extremely dedicated enthusiast
A megafan is an extremely devoted enthusiast—someone whose passion for a band, sports team, TV show, or celebrity goes beyond casual fandom: The megafans camped out for three days to get front-row tickets.
In geology, a megafan is an unusually large alluvial fan—a cone-shaped deposit of sediment spread where a river exits mountains onto flat terrain.
