full lotus
Crossed-legs seated position
Full lotus is a cross-legged seated position used in meditation and yoga, where each foot rests on the opposite thigh with soles facing upward.
The posture creates a stable, symmetrical base for extended sitting.
It requires considerable hip flexibility, and many practitioners work toward it gradually: I've been stretching for months but still can't get into full lotus.
Distinguished from half lotus, where only one foot rests on the opposite thigh.
