medicos
White coat wearers
Medicos is an informal, slightly old-fashioned plural for doctors or medical practitioners.
It appears most often in British English and Australian English, sometimes with a jocular or dismissive tone.
The medicos couldn't figure out what was wrong with him.
The singular medico exists but is rarer than the plural form.
