mailshot

Bulk promotional letter

A mailshot is a batch of promotional or informational material sent to many recipients at once, typically for advertising or fundraising: The charity sent out a mailshot to all previous donors.

The term is primarily British; Americans more often say mass mailing or direct mail.

It can also function as a verb: We mailshotted ten thousand households.
