Mailshots are promotional materials sent to large numbers of people simultaneously—advertisements, catalogs, or solicitations arriving by post.
The term is primarily British; Americans more often say direct mail or junk mail.
A single campaign is a mailshot: The company did a mailshot to all registered customers.
The verb mailshot means to send such materials: We mailshot ten thousand households last quarter.
